THE VALLEY, Anguilla, July 21 ———-Airline Cape Air has added a new island destination in the Caribbean with two daily flights between Anguilla and San Juan, Puerto Rico beginning on December 22nd, 2010.

Cape Air President Dan Wolf said the Anguilla flight schedule allows for easy connections with major carriers arriving in San Juan and convenient ticket and baggage agreements with almost all the major carriers.

Parliamentary Secretary responsible for Tourism the Honourable Haydn Hughes said that “Anguilla is a unique destination and Cape Air will compliment its product offerings”.

He said the Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport and staff are ready and anxious to have Cape Air on Anguilla.

Meanwhile Acting Director of Tourism Merlyn Rogers said with Cape Air’s new island service from San Juan and convenient connections with other major airlines, access to an Anguilla vacation is easier than ever before.

The new route complements Cape Air’s existing Caribbean service to San Juan, St. Thomas, St. Croix, Tortola, Vieques, Mayaguez, and Ponce.

Now in its 21st year, Cape Air is one of the largest independent regional airlines in the United States annually flying over 610,000 passengers to destinations around the world.

It owns a fleet of sixty-two Cessna 402s and two ATR-42s, and operates up to 575 flights a day.
